Fostering saves not only one life -- but two! Every time a dog enters foster care, room is made in a shelter for a new dog to be saved and sent to rescue.

New England Based Rescue
Harvey’s Hope Animal Rescue is based out of Hudson, NH but has no physical facility. We are licensed in NH, MA, CT, and RI. HHAR is 100% run by volunteers who have a passion for rescuing and rehabilitating animals.

All of our dogs receive vaccines, a microchip, monthly flea/tick/heartworm medication, spay/neutered and are dewormed as part of their preventative care while in foster in the south. Within 10 days of traveling to New England, they visit our veterinarian and receive a clean bill of health to travel – a health certificate.
Transport to New England is anywhere from $150-$250 per dog. It is arranged once HHAR has an approved foster or adopter. The location in which the dog is transported to depends on the isolation facility’s availability. Once a dog is placed in foster care in New England, they are not transported further for adoption. The dogs can be in MA, NH, VT, CT or RI. Adopters are expected to pick up from the facility or foster home.
In a perfect world, it costs HHAR $700 to vet, spay/neuter and treat the average dog. This means that the dog does not have any additional medical (worms, kennel cough, skin issues, needs surgery, etc). Our adoption fees barely cover these costs, but the adoption fees always remain consistent, no matter how much it costs to treat the dog.
